Each year, reality tragically reminds us of the drowning of snowmobile enthusiasts who accidentally fall into bodies of water. One of the main causes of those deaths is hypothermia.

Hypothermia is defined as the lowering of body temperature below normal. Skin and superficial tissues cool very quickly because we lose 25 times more heat in water than in air. Within 10 to 15 minutes, the temperature of the heart and brain begins to decrease. Fainting can occur when the body’s internal temperature reaches 32 °C (89.6 °F). When it drops to 30 °C (86 °F), death occurs from a heart attack. Time is running, we must get out of the water as quickly as possible.

Increase your chances by using CKX Tekfloat technical garments. A membrane is inserted in the garments to give them floating properties.
